Mr. Harvey Henry Bunting, 73, of Asheboro, NC, died Friday, February 3, 2012, at The Randolph Hospice House. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Monday, February 6, 2012, at First Baptist Church in Franklinville, where he was a member, with the Rev. Steven Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Bunting was born July 6, 1938. He was the son of the late Talmadge William Bunting and Bronna Parrish Bunting. Mr. Bunting retired from the City of Asheboro Maintenance Department after 32 years of service. He and his wife, Sandra, are the owners of Earth and Fire Pottery for 12 years. Mr. Bunting is survived by his wife, Sandra Cox Bunting, of the home; children, Connie Wicker and husband, John, Barrie Bunting and wife, Cami, all of Asheboro, Amy Lamb and husband, Brian, of Seagrove; sisters, Pat Byrd and husband, J.B., Faye Bray and husband, Gary, Ann Miller, Desiree Williams and husband, Richard; brother, Dallas Bunting and wife, Debbie, all of Asheboro; grandchildren, Ashley Wicker, Tyler Wicker, both of Asheboro, Abby Lamb, Ally Lamb, both of Seagrove, Maci Bunting and Luke Bunting, both of Asheboro. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm Sunday, February 5, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Randolph, PO Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204; or to First Baptist Church, 440 Academy Street, Franklinville, NC 27248.
