Harold "Tommy" Thomas Trogdon, Jr., 75, of Asheboro, died Monday, August 10, 2026, at his home.
There are no services scheduled at this time.
Tommy was born on January 14, 1951, in Randolph County, the son of the late Harold Trogdon, Sr., and Ola Mae Parris Trogdon. He attended Asheboro High School. He was the owner and operator of Unique Construction before his retirement. He worked mostly around the coast building hotels for Courtyard Marriot. Tommy had a generous heart and would often help people when they were down on their luck by picking them up, feeding them, and getting them a hotel room so they could have a nice clean shower. Tommy also had a big furry heart for his cats.
In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Tate; and grandson, Cody Gurkin.
Tommy is survived by his daughter, Misty Trogdon of Bennett; son, Shane Trogdon of Holden Beach; sisters, Carolyn Hunt Smith of Asheboro; brother, Darrell Trogdon (Rosalyn) of New London; and grandchildren, Maci Trogdon and Madison Trogdon.
In honor of his love for his cats, the family kindly asks you honor Tommy's memory by donating to Randolph SPCA, 300 W. Bailey Street, Asheboro, NC 27203.
