Harold Floyd Ray, 85, of Seagrove, died Friday, October 1, 2021 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, Seagrove, officiated by Pastor Russell Brownsworth. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Harold was born on June 5, 1936 in Moore County, NC. Harold was a man that loved his family just as hard as he worked. He never met a stranger and touched many lives in the 80+ years he lived. Harold was a soft spoken gentle loving man as well as a rough and tough woods man. Anyone that met or knew him has been blessed. Harold was a veteran of United States Army serving in the Korean War. He was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Seagrove, where he operated the sound system. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie C. Ray and Bulah C. Ray, brothers, Elbert Ray and Jerry Ray. He is survived by his wife, Ada Ruth Reeder Ray of the home; daughter, Tina Ray McMahon of Seagrove; granddaughter Ashley Ray; grandsons, Zachary Graves and Richard Underwood; great granddaughter, Kaydence King; and sister, Linda Ray Winslow. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church prior to the funeral service.
