Harold Daniels

Mr. James Harold Daniels, 87, of Franklinville, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 17, 2015, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Melvin Parks and Dwight Harrington officiating. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Rocky Face Baptist Church Cemetery in Hiddenite, NC. Mr. Daniels was born July 20, 1928 in Alexander County, to the late Elisha Alexander and Ada Blackwelder Daniels. He was retired from the Randolph County School System and was a former volunteer fireman from 1969-1981 in Union Grove. Mr. Daniels was a member of the United Church of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Lowdermilk Daniels; sisters, Edna Auman and Lola Bentley; brothers, Fred, Willard, Glade and Harvey Lee Daniels. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Daniels of the home; daughters, Sandra Daniels Smith and husband, Larry of High Point, Wanda Stanford and husband, Gerald of Randleman and Tonya Lassiter of the home; son, Tommy Nance and wife, Karen of Randleman; grandchildren, Connie Smith Turner, Jason Smith, Tricia Stanford, Austin Stanford, Kelly Nance, Steven Nance, Danelle Lassiter, Brittany Brafford; and seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204. The family would like to thank Randolph Hospital Home Health and Hospice of Randolph for the care given to Mr. Daniels.
