Harold Wayne Carter

Harold Wayne Carter, 86, of Franklinville, NC, passed away Monday, July 29, 2019, at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 2, 2019, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Robert L. Hinson officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Born on February 5, 1933, Wayne was the son of the late Eddie Ross Carter and Mary Elizabeth Foster Carter. He retired after 30 years of work at Anchor Motor Freight. He loved to read the Bible and work on word puzzles. He was loved by everyone and was a joy to be around. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Carter and his daughter, Brenda Hoover. Surviving are his daughter, Elizabeth Williams and husband Tommy of Asheboro; son, John Carter and wife Susan of King, NC; sister, Barbara Brower of Asheboro; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2019, and other times at the home.
