Harold Wayne Brown, 89, of Asheboro, died Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, February 1, 2021, at Oaklawn Cemetery, with Rev. Tommy Smith officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. The service will be livestreamed on Ridge Funeral Home's official Facebook page. Harold was born on August 16, 1931, in Moore County, to the late Archie and Nettie Kennedy Brown. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired form Burlington Industries after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Balfour Masonic Lodge #188 for 50 years, and a member of Richland Baptist Church. Harold enjoyed hunting, raising cows, and being outside. Harold loved his grandbabies. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Harold Brown; siblings, Essie Horne, Douglas Brown, and Roy Brown. Harold is survived by his wife, Patsy Joyce Brown of the home; daughter, Joyce Brown Patram and husband Bruce of Asheboro; son, Jackie Brown and wife Nita of Denton; sister, Virginia Bruce of Robbins; grandchildren, Jaren Wayne Brown, Christopher Aaron Brown, Ava Madison Patram; great grandchildren, Jaden Brown, Nevaeh Brown; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Brown will lie in state from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m., Sunday, January 31, 2021, at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, 416 Vision Drive, Asheboro, NC 27203.
