Harold Lloyd Boone

Harold Lloyd Boone, 62, of 197 W. Edgewood Circle, Asheboro, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 25, 2010, at his home surrounded by family and friends. Graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Lee Green officiating. Harold was born on December 7, 1947 in Randolph County. He was a devoted husband, loving son, proud father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. He worked as a brick mason for most of his life. He enjoyed working in his saw mill and building things in his free time. Harold was a hard worker who was always ready to help anyone in need. Harold enjoyed making people laugh and telling jokes. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family. Harold enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially at his cabin with his wife and dog, Sam. He was preceded in death by his father, Raeford Boone, and his son, Steven Wayne Overman. Surviving are his wife, Wanda Scott Boone, of the home; daughter, Debbie Wright and husband, Mark, of Asheboro; sons, Tracy "Ralph"� Overman and wife Tammy, of Bennett, James "Scotty"� Overman and wife, Linda, of Asheboro; mother, Estherleen Boone, of Seagrove; sisters, Jerlene Lamb and husband, Ken, of Seagrove, Joyce Boone Lucas, of Troy; brothers, Stevie Boone and Penny, of Seagrove, Timmy Boone, of Seagrove, J.R. Boone and Tammy, of Robbins; mother-in-law, Polly Scott; brother-in-law, Wayne Hogan; sisters-in-law, Brenda Scott, Judy Dupree; grandchildren, Heather, Peyton, Brittany, Justin, Halston, Tanner; great grandchildren, Cohlman, Nauttica; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 6:00 until 9:00 PM on Tuesday, July 27, 2010, and other times at the home.
