Harold "Junior" Biddix, Jr.

Harold Ray "Junior" Biddix, Jr., 64, of Franklinville, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020, at his home. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at Whites Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery, Franklinville, with Rev. Jeff Joyce officiating. Born on April 7, 1956, in Swain County, NC, Mr. Biddix was the son of the late Harold Leroy Biddix and Nancy Wildcat Biddix. He had worked at May Furniture (March Furniture) and Diversified Maintenance. He loved fishing, especially for catfish, and joking with his grandkids. He was also a huge Patsy Cline Fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sheila Biddix and his brother, Henderson Biddix. Surviving are his daughter, Carmen Zelaya and husband, Gualberto Leyva of Franklinville; sons, Lightfoot Biddix of Asheboro, Daren Biddix and wife Hunter Newnan of Climax; sister, Polly Biddix Reed of Cherokee; brothers, John William Biddix, Garrett Biddix, Fred Howard Biddix all of Cherokee; grandchildren, Leslie Biddix, Amy Zelaya, Nicholas Zelaya, Emily Zelaya, Iris Zelaya, Raven Biddix, Elijah Biddix, Oliver Biddix, and Levias Biddix. Mr. Biddix will lie in state from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at Ridge Funeral Home.
