Huston Thomas "H. T." Rogers, 80, of Asheboro, NC, died Friday, September 4, 2015 at his residence. Memorial services will be conducted 11:30 am, Monday, September 7, 2015, at Central United Methodist Church, Asheboro, where he was a member. Dr. Terry Matthews will officiate. A native of Davidson Co., NC, Mr. Rogers was born December 16, 1934, the son of the late Ralph and Edith Hunt Rogers. He was a general contractor and was an excellent carpenter, house builder, and had a passion for farming. Survivors include his wife Jo Ann Rogers, of the home; daughter, Tammie Rogers Swaim and husband, Randall S., of Thomasville, NC; son, Tony Rogers and wife, Ann, of Monroe, NC; sister, Janet Allen and husband, Charles, of Trinity, NC; brother, Don Rogers and wife, Peggy, of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Chad Rogers and wife, Melissa, of Weddington, NC, Ashley Swaim, of Charlotte, NC, Scott Swaim, of Myrtle Beach, SC; great-grandchildren, Dela, Maya and Chloe Rogers. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:30 am, Monday, at the Family Life Center of Central United Methodist Church, Asheboro. Memorials may be made to Central United Methodist Church, 300 South Main Street, Asheboro, NC 27203.
