Hugh Cleveland "H. C." Patterson, Jr., 92, of Asheboro, NC, died Thursday, November 27, 2014 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home in Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2014, at the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, NC, with Rev. Gregg Arnold officiating. Entombment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2014, at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro, NC, with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. In addition to his parents, Mr. Patterson was preceded in death by his wife, Joy Brown Patterson. A native of Randolph Co., NC, Mr. Patterson was born September 7, 1922, the son of the late Hugh and Roxie Lineberry Patterson. He was retired from Jockey International in Randleman, NC. Mr. Patterson had served in the US Army during World War II. Mr. Patterson is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Dianna P. Kennedy, of Asheboro, NC, grandchildren, Karen Arnold and husband, Gregg, Julie Bittle and husband, James, Lisa Allred, great grandchildren, Nathan Arnold, Alyssa Arnold, Sarah Arnold, Maurice Hill, Robert Bittle, Alicia Farrar and husband, Jason, Brandon Wall, Jessica Hall and husband, Ronny, eight great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, NC. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204.
