Gwyn Dillard

Gwyn Austin Dillard, 88, of Asheboro, died Thursday, July 13, 2017 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Memorial services will be conducted at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, July 16, 2017, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Todd Brown officiating. Born January 14, 1929 in Wilkes County, Mr. Dillard was the son of the late Monroe and Mollie Dillard. He was retired from Sands Food Service and he attended Holly Spring Friends Meeting. Mr. Dillard served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Danny Dillard. Survivors include his daughters, Darlene Bigelow of the home, Penny Boyd and husband, Ronnie of Bullock, NC; grandchildren, Chelsea Bigelow, Adam Bigelow, Beau Whited and wife, Victoria and Paige Downing. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
