Grethel Cole Maness

Mrs. Grethel Marie Cole Maness, 89, of Seagrove, NC, died Saturday, January 18, 2014, at First Health Moore Regional Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Charles T. Reeder officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church Cemetery in Seagrove. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Maness was born January 29, 1924. She was the daughter of the late Lonnie Clovis Cole and Lila Mae Hancock Cole. She was a beautician for 38 years and retired from Luck's, Inc. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard J. Maness; sisters, Juda Gatlin, Wanda Hussey; and brother, L.C. Cole, Jr. Mrs. Maness is survived by son, William H. Maness, of Seagrove, NC; daughter, Hilda M. Maness, of Wilmington, NC; grandsons, William Maness, Chad Maness and wife, Morgan; great granddaughter, Cheyenne Maness. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt.
