Gregory Major

Gregory William Major, 51, of Asheboro, died Tuesday, December 13, 2016. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 16, 2016 at the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jerry Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Born August 5, 1965, Mr. Major was a native of Randolph County. He was a member of Crestview Wesleyan Church and worked as a brick mason. He was a avid fan of the Miami Dolphins. He was preceded in death by his father, Boyce Major, Sr. Surviving are his daughter, Sheria Major Richards of Asheboro; stepson, Kayne Drye of Asheboro; mother, Ann King and stepfather, Milton King of Asheboro; brothers, Boyce Major, Jr. of South Tuscon, AZ, David Major and wife, Felicia of Trinity, Randy Major and wife, Teresa of Asheboro; grandchildren, Jocelin Richards, Cash Richards, Brock Muehlbach, Khloey Drye; one nephew; and two nieces. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 16, 2016 at Ridge Funeral Home in Asheboro.
