Grace Strider Williams

Mrs. Grace Strider Williams, 83, of Asheboro, NC, died Sunday, April 29, 2012, at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Edwards and Rev. Garland Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Williams was born September 15, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Walter Lee Strider and Crissie Strider. She was a lifetime member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church and loved singing in the choir and with her family. She was famous for her ham biscuits and loved to cook for her family and church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, A.J. Williams, her sisters, Emma Luther, Bulah Nance, Montese Strider, and her brothers, Eugene Luther, Lacy Strider, Charlie Strider and Hugh Strider. Mrs. Williams is survived by her daughter, Lynda Hurley and husband, Sherrell, of Asheboro, NC; sons, W. Larry Williams and wife, Teresa, Randy Williams and wife, Janet, Bruce Williams and wife, Tina, all of Asheboro, NC; brother, "Mack" Strider and wife, Thelma, of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Sherri Jordan and husband, Chuck, Jeremy Williams and wife, Alisha, Hannah Williams, Anna Williams, all of Asheboro, NC; great grandchildren, Lauren Jordan, Ethan Jordan, Carson Jordan, Lillie Williams. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt.
