Gloria Foland

Gloria Kathryn Foland, 70, of Asheboro, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, February 1, 2021, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Firelight Baptist Church of Greystone, with Pastor Fred Ashley officiating. Gloria was born on November 11, 1950, in Smythe County, VA,to the late George Foland and Virginia Bullins Foland. She retired from Specialty Garments where she worked for 40 years. She was a member of Firelight Baptist Church at Greystone, where she was known as "Miss Gloria" to all the children of the church. She loved to read and play games. Gloria is survived by her siblings, Stanley Foland of Troy; Jim "Fuzzy" Foland and wife Delores of Asheboro, Daniel Foland and wife Pat of Asheboro, Sandra "Sandy" Foland Cole and husband Gary of Asheboro, Richard Timothy "Tim" Foland and wife Angie of Asheboro; 11 nephews; one niece; numerous great nieces and nephews; extended family, Pastor Fred Ashley, his family, and all the children of Firelight Baptist Church at Greystone.
