Glenna Alberta Stout

Glenna Alberta Stout, 76, of Asheboro, died Friday, February 26, 2016 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at West Bend United Methodist Church, Asheboro, with Rev. Drew McIntrye and Rev. David Noyes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Randolph County, Glenna was born September 9, 1939, to the late Dock and Alberta Stout. She sold Avon products and looked after her neighborhood flower fund. She was a member of West Bend United Methodist Church, member of the United Methodist Women and the Fellowship Class. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and loved to watch baseball. Surviving are her sisters, Wanda M. Stout, Wilma S. Mollman and husband, Bill, Susie S. Saintsing, all of Asheboro; niece, Lu Anne Simpson and husband, Larry of Thomasville; nephew, Steve Maness and wife, Ronda of Ramseur; and great niece, Amanda Smith, of Maryland. The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of Wanda Stout. Since Glenna was one of Jim's Kids, memorial contributions may be made to Jim's Kids, 2262 Race Track Road, Sophia, NC 27350. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Clapp's for the excellent care given to Glenna.
