Gladys Seabolt Shepherd

Gladys Louise Seabolt Shepherd, 73, formerly of Asheboro, died Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Manor Care in Pinehurst. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 28, 2015, in the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Derald Hunt officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Asheboro. Born in Davidson County, NC, on March 21, 1942, Ms. Shepherd was the daughter of the late John Paul Seabolt and Fannie Marie Smith Seabolt. She worked at Sapona Manufacturing and Acme-McCrary. In addition to her parents, Ms. Shepherd was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Jo Seabolt, Sarah Ruth Seabolt, Mary Frances Farlow; and brothers, Paul Clayton Seabolt and Dwight Seabolt. Surviving are her son, Larry Dean Shepherd and wife, April, of Asheboro; sisters, Jean Smith, of Georgia, Lucille Purvis, of High Falls; brother, Earl Wayne Seabolt, of High Falls; grandchildren, Stephanie Shepherd York and husband, Jason, Christopher Shepherd; and great-grandchildren, Riley York and Jackson York. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm to 1:45 pm, Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at Ridge Funeral Home in Asheboro. Memorials may be made to Liberty Hospice, 300 W.
