Geraldine Puckett

Geraldine "Granny" Tucker Puckett, 76, of Trinity, died Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at High Point Regional Hospital in High Point. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 10, 2017, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug McGee. Burial will follow at Faith Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in New London. Born January 16, 1941 in Manning, SC, Mrs. Puckett was the daughter of the late William and Roetha Richburg Tucker. She was a member of Northside Free Will Baptist Church in Randleman, where she was a Sunday School teacher. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and being a "Granny" was her greatest joy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond Richburg and James Luther Tucker. Mrs. Puckett is survived by her son, Cecil Tucker and wife, Judy of Albemarle; sisters, Shirley Bryant of Manning, SC, Laura Simms of Sumpter, SC, Emma Jean Bryant and husband, Jerry Jonah of Alcolu, SC; brothers, Tommy Tucker, Mike Tucker and wife, Laura, all of Sumpter, SC; grandchildren, William Tucker and wife, Ashley of Asheboro, Audie Tucker and wife, Megan of Trinity; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Broadway, Joshua Tucker, Haleigh Tucker, William Tucker, II, Sarah Tucker, soon to be joined by Austin Tucker; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
