Gerald Dean Seay, 54, of Asheboro, NC, died Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am, Saturday, December 13, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, NC, with Rev. Patrick Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro, NC. A native of Greenville, SC, Mr. Seay was born June 23, 1960, the son of the late Clyde Seay and Jeanette Ayers. He was a devoted husband and loving father. He drove a truck for 30 years when he was forced into an early retirement from Greenlines due to an injury. He loved his family and friends and was always willing to lend a hand. A big practical joker, he was always trying to make people laugh. He will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and generous heart. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. In addition to his parents, Mr. Seay was preceded in death by his stepfather, Troy Ayers, brother, Raymond Ayers, and brother-in-law, Bill Holder. Mr. Seay is survived by his wife, Donna Seay, of the home, daughter, Dina Seay, of Asheboro, NC, son, Frankie Seay, of Asheboro, NC, sisters and step-sisters, Joyce Doggett and husband, Jimmy, of Pleasant Garden, NC, Mary Sue Williamson and husband, Junior, of Randleman, NC, Margie Holder, of Mt. Airy, NC, Sharron "Punkin" Ayers, of Stoneville, NC, brothers and step-brothers, Billy Ayers, of Pleasant Garden, NC, CT Seay, Greensboro, NC, Eddie Seay and wife, Wanda, of Archdale, NC, "Troy Jr." Ayers, of Greensboro, NC, grandchild, Gerald Mason Seay, of Asheboro, NC, mother-in-law, Lois Dorman, sister-in-law, Marie Albright and husband, Randall, of Seagrove, NC, Matthew Albright. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, Saturday, at Ridge Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Asheboro, NC, and other times at the home.
