George Audrey Vuncannon

George Audrey Vuncannon, 89, of Randleman, died Saturday, April 13, 2019 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 18, 2019, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Frank Barrett officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Born in Randolph County, NC, on June 2, 1929, George was the son of the late Dougan James Vuncannon and Lula Ann Underwood Vuncannon. He was retired from Galey and Lord, was a member of Landmark Baptist Church, and served in the U.S. Army. George also loved to garden and to take care of his yard. Surviving are his wife, Celia Needham Vuncannon of the home; daughter, Patricia Ann Denny and her husband Jeff, of Randleman; son, Gary Vuncannon of the home; sister, Ruth Beck and husband Junior of Erect; grandchild, Jeffrey Shane Denny and wife Laura; numerous nieces and nephews; and little baby "Tinker Bell". The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
