George Edgar Haddock, 81, of Asheboro, died Friday, January 1, 2016 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill. Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel. A native of Randolph County, Mr. Haddock was born June 2, 1934, the son of the late Fred and Thelma Cox Haddock. He was the owner of G & H Aluminum. He loved to hunt, fish, and raise a garden. Mr. Haddock is survived by his wife, Sara B. Haddock, of the home; daughters, Debbie Latham and husband Michael, Teresa Allred and husband Tommy, all of Asheboro, Bobbie Sharpe and husband Basil, of Greensboro; sisters, Evelyn Roberts and husband Leonard of Asheboro, Betty Teague of Siler City; grandchildren, Wayne Luck and wife Georgia, Amanda McCoy and husband Adam, Cale Latham and wife Brianne, Eric Latham and wife Elizabeth, Anthony Sharpe, Ronnie Coble and wife Tammy, Katina Clayton and husband, Earl, Geneva May and husband William, Jerrell Sharpe and wife Amber; 24 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, prior to the service at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
