Geneva Presnell Hiatt

Geneva Clara Presnell Hiatt, 97, of Pinehurst, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2020, at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 4, 2020, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, with Bishop Daryl Alexander officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery. Mrs. Hiatt was born on May 12, 1922, in Randolph Co. to the late Baxter Columbus Presnell and Annie Jane Fox Presnell. She was a homemaker and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Hiatt. She is survived by her daughter, Audrey Alexander and her husband Daryl of Asheboro; son, Willard Hiatt and wife Teresa of Pinehurst; sister, Ruth Allen of Greensboro; brothers, Jesse Lee Presnell of Asheboro, Burgess Presnell of Burlington, Dempsey Presnell and his wife Betty of Asheboro; grandchildren, Keith Alexander, Chris Alexander, Timothy Hiatt, Bradley Hiatt, Shelisa Hiatt, Sherry Cieutat, Christian Hiatt; great grandchildren, Ethan, Ryan, Andre, Trevor, Devin, Kaleigh, Olivia, Mallory, Cayden, Sidney and Whitney. The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2020.
