Gene Hunt

Garry "Gene" Hunt, 70, of Asheboro, died Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at his home. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 27, 2016, at Randolph Memorial Park with Pastor Chris Wilson officiating. Born May 28, 1946 in Randolph County, Mr. Hunt was the son of the late Tennyson Wesley and Bertie Mae Hunt. He was retired from March Furniture. Mr. Hunt is survived by his wife, Peggy Hughes Hunt of the home; daughters, Tina Hunt Martindale and husband, Todd of Robbins, Tammy Hunt Hughes and husband, Steven of Denton; son, Rodney Hunt and wife, Jennifer of Denton; stepsons, Tony Presnell and Randy Presnell and wife, Michelle, all of Asheboro; sister, Elizabeth Hunt of Asheboro; brothers, Raeford Hunt and Wesley Hunt, both of Asheboro; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
