Gearthie "Dot" Stevens McNeill, 85, of Seagrove, died Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at High Point Regional Hospital in High Point. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 7, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alan Blackmon officiating. Burial will follow at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Born March 1, 1932 in Surry County, Mrs. McNeill was the daughter of the late Eugene Stevens and Annie Bowman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Calvin "Put" McNeill; daughter, Wanda Beedie; son, Michael McNeill; and brother, Bernie Stevens. Survivors include her daughters, Joanne Stanley of Asheboro, Pat Perryman and husband, John of Asheboro, Phyllis Faulkner of Thomasville, Norma Brannen and husband, Robbie of Star, Barbara Blevins and husband, Steve of Asheboro; son, Jimmy McNeill of Pleasant Garden; sister, Frankie King of Seagrove; 21 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Ridge Funeral Home.
