Gary W. Richardson

Gary Wilson Richardson, 68, of Climax, died Sunday, September 16, 2018 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. in the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro. The family will receive friends following the service. Born in Randolph County, NC, on November 21, 1949, Mr. Richardson was the son of the late William Richardson and Edith Wilson Richardson. He served in the US Marine Corps during Vietnam. After working with the Asheboro Police Department, he enlisted and served in the Military Police Corps in the US Army. Mr. Richardson was the owner and operator of Four Seasons Electric. He enjoyed showing his horses and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Carolyn Tucker and Linda Staley. Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Teresa B. Richardson; daughters, Dana Greene (Tim), Briana Lackey (Chad); sisters, Billie Brower, Phyllis Williams; brothers, Phillip Richardson, Joey Richardson; grandchildren, Alexis Lackey, Braden Greene, Camden Greene, Selah Greene and Gage Lackey. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204; or to the Family Crisis Center, 624-A S. Fayetteville Street, Asheboro, NC 27203.
