Gary Harlan

Gary Welburn Harlan, 58, of Asheboro, died Thursday, September 10, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 14, 2015, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Brian Hauk officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. A native of Randolph County, Mr. Harlan was born July 6, 1957 to the late Travis and Lilly Harlan. He had worked at Burlington Industries in Denton and attended Mt. View Independent Methodist Church. Mr. Harlan enjoyed riding motorcycles and had volunteered at Tabernacle Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, Robin Harlan of the home; stepdaughters, Shannon Phillips Spencer and husband, Ira of Archdale, April Phillips Fronczak and husband, Robert of Sophia; step grandchildren, Katelyn Marie Scarborough and Dustin Ray Scarborough; and his furry friends, Missy, Daisy and Buster. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
