Gary Thomas Callicutt

Mr. Gary Thomas Callicutt, 62, of Asheboro, NC, died Monday, June 30, 2014, at High Point Regional Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00pm, Thursday, July 3rd, 2014 at Macedonia United Methodist Church with Rev. Faron Overton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Montgomery County, NC, Mr. Callicutt was born April 16, 1952. He was the son of the late T.R. Callicutt and Avis Jamie Williams Callicutt. He was a retired truck driver. He worked for Carolina Pacific for 28 years and drove for himself for 12 years. He attended Harvest Field Baptist Church. Mr. Callicutt enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing and spending time at the beach. Mr. Callicutt is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Callicutt, of Randleman, NC; sons, Gary Wayne Callicutt and fiancée, April Latham, of the home, Kevin Callicutt, of the home; "other son," Samuel Scott, of Seagrove, NC; former wife and friend, Beverly Brightwell, of Randleman, NC; sisters, Sharon Harwell, of Asheboro, NC, Karen Callicutt, of Asheboro, NC, Patricia Chriscoe and husband, Donnie of Asheboro, NC, Joyce Callicutt and husband, Bruce, of Troy, NC; brothers, Tim Callicutt and wife, Ellen, of Asheboro, NC, Dwayne Callicutt and wife, Vicky, of Troy, NC; grandchildren, Spencer Callicutt, Adreanna Staley, Hunter Callicutt, Preston Whitaker, Carissa Latham, Branson Callicutt, Zachary Callicutt, Kaleb Callicutt, Morgan Callicutt, Makayla Latham, Peyton Callicutt, Alyssa Callicutt. The family will receive friends from 7:00pm to 9:00pm Wednesday, July 2nd, 2014 at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
