Gary Randall Barnhart

Gary Randall Barnhart, 67, of Asheboro, died Saturday, May 9, 2020, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro. Gary was born in Sandusky, Ohio, on February 15, 1953. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Flora Barnhart Hovatter. He was an excellent cook who also enjoyed baking. He loved the outdoors and being with nature. He was an avid fan of football, especially the Carolina Panthers. He also enjoyed country music very much. He had served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his husband of 40 years, Troy Thomas of the home. Due to restrictions on group gatherings, there is no service planned at this time.
