Garry Wayne Luther

Mr. Garry Wayne Luther, 61, of Asheboro, NC, died Sunday, June 22, 2014, at his home. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, June 26, 2014, at Antioch Christian Church with Pastor Brian Faircloth, Rev. Garland Hall and Rev. Gerald Ward officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Christian Church Cemetery in Seagrove. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Luther was born November 27, 1952. He was the son of the late Walter Milton Luther and Clara Augusta Brewer Luther. He loved working hard for a living and truly loved his country. He was not afraid to tell where he stood in a position. Anywhere there was a conversation about politics, he would have liked to be involved. He loved God and his family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming and the great outdoors. If it was broke, he could fix it. He was a wonderful husband, father, friend and mentor. Mr. Luther was very much loved by his family. Mr. Luther is survived by his wife, Cathy Luther, of the home; sons, Daniel Luther and wife, Ashley, of Charlotte, NC, Jeremy Ingold and wife, Stefanie, of Asheboro, NC; sisters, Carol Spencer and husband, Sam, of Clemmons, NC, Vivian Ussery of Asheboro, NC; brother, Douglas Luther and wife, Faye, of Asheboro, NC; and grandchildren, Jake Crotts and Amber Ingold. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
