Garrion Voncannon

Mr. Garrion Thomas VonCannon, 76, of Asheboro, NC, died Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. VonCannon was born March 21, 1937. He was the son of the late Ronie VonCannon and Vertice Charlotte Greene VonCannon. Mr. VonCannon retired from the State of North Carolina after working for the NCDOT and NC Zoo. He also later worked as a courier for the Courier Tribune. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Terry VonCannon, Cecil VonCannon; and sister, Janet Ingram. Mr. VonCannon is survived by daughters, Sharon VonCannon Redding, of High Point, NC, Amanda Helen VonCannon, of Asheboro, NC; son, Eric Glenn VonCannon, of Asheville, NC; grandchildren, Charles Redding, Amy Redding, Nickole VonCannon, and Nickolas VonCannon. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Thursday, August 1, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home.
