Fred Junior Isom

Mr. Fred Junior Isom, 79, of Asheboro, NC, died Friday, October 28, 2011, at High Point Regional Hospital. A graveside service is scheduled for 4:00 pm Monday, October 31, 2011, at Smyrna Grove Community Church Cemetery with Rev. Bill Barnes officiating. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Isom was born June 4, 1932. He was the son of the late Fred P. Isom and Erma Harmon Isom. Mr. Isom was retired from Galey & Lord. In addition to his parents, Mr. Isom was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Faydean Isom; sons, Billy Joe Isom, Roy Lee Isom; and sister, Lorraine Lamb. Mr. Isom is survived by son, Darrell Isom, of Randleman, granddaughter, Tabatha Beth Isom, who he loved dearly; sister, Georgia Marie Kidd, of Franklinville, Patricia Allen, of Asheboro; brother, J.W. Isom and wife, Pauline, of Asheboro. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm Monday, October 31, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family c/o Ridge Funeral Home, 908 Albemarle Road, Asheboro, NC 27203, to help with funeral expenses; or to the charity of the donor's choice.
