Franklin Arthur Hayes

Franklin Arthur "Frank" Hayes, 65, of Asheboro, NC, died Tuesday, November 18 at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 21, 2014, in the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, NC with Preacher Howard Moffitt officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro, NC. Military honors will be provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Hayes was born October 29, 1949, the son of the late Carl and Gracie Hicks Hayes. He was the co-owner of ART of Asheboro, LTD. He enjoyed playing bluegrass and gospel music with the Richland Partners for residents of nursing homes. Mr. Hayes loved his family and was a devoted Christian who loved studying the Bible. Most of all he loved the Lord, sharing with others his love of Christ in his words and deeds. Mr. Hayes served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hayes was preceded in death by his sister, Louise Hayes McNeill. Mr. Hayes is survived by his wife, Belinda Simpson Hayes, of the home; daughters, Kelly Hayes and fiancé, Corey Overstreet, of Asheboro, NC, Stacy Hayes, of the home; grandchild, Chloe Wood, of the home; sisters, Mabel Hayes Sykes and husband, Pete, Carlene Hayes Lucas, Bonnie Hayes Lambe, Martha Hayes Moore, all of Asheboro, NC; brother, Paul Hayes, of Asheboro, NC; brother-in-law, Walter McNeill, of Ramseur, NC; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, NC. Memorials may be made to the Randolph County Honor Guard, PO Box 1672, Asheboro, NC 27204.
