Frank Weidman

Mr. Frank Weidman, Sr., 63, of Asheboro, NC, died Monday, April 27, 2015 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 1, 2015, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Neil Poole officiating. Military honors will be provided by Randolph County Honor Guard. Mr. Weidman was born on December 12, 1951 in Schenectady, NY , the son of the late Clayton and Marguerite Jenks. He was a wonderful family man who especially loved his grandbabies. He loved to play basketball and teaching his children how to play. Mr. Weidman enjoyed the oudoors and worked hard to keep his yard beautiful. He was an avid animal lover and had a talent for training his pets to count, talk and pray. Mr. Weidman maintained a crisp clean appearance and enjoyed a cup a coffee in the morning and a warm cup of milk in the evening. He attended Mt. Calvary Independent Baptist Church where he cam to know Jesus Christ as his person savior. In addtion to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Julie Curral. Mr. Weidman is survived by his daughter, Tammy Weidman Medina of Asheboro; five sons, Frank Weidman, Jr. of Lake Worth, FL, Robert Ellery Weidman of CT, Nicholas John Weidman of West Haven, CT, Casey Kidd Weidman of Asheboro, Kyle Jay Weidman of Asheboro; two brothers, Arthur "Butch" Yates of Macon, GA, John Dreules of FL; and 13 grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.,Thursday at Ridge Funeral Home.
