Frank Carr Gann, 87, of Asheboro, died Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at his daughter's home. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m., Monday, February 12, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Scotty Carpenter and Rev. Mark Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Born March 5, 1930 in Stokes County, Mr. Gann was the son of the late Elias and Mattie Gann. He graduated from Seagrove High School in 1948 and was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Asheboro. Mr. Gann worked as a poultry and cattle farmer since 1956 and he worked part-time as a carpenter and built various barns and farm buildings in his community. He also worked for 12 years as a security guard for Klaussner Furniture Industries. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Elias Foy Gann. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Byrum Gann of the home; daughter, Linda Gann Goodman and husband, Mike of High Point; sons, Roger Gann and wife, Ashley of Asheboro, Eddie Gann and wife, Sandra of Albemarle; sister, Evangeline Gann Brown of Asheboro; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Monday at Ridge Funeral Home, prior to the service. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Building Fund, 133 N. Church St., Asheboro, NC 27203.
