Frances Seabolt

Frances Louise (aka Aunt Tanny) Seabolt, 92, of Asheboro, died Sunday, March 20, 2016 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 24, 2016, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Mark Kent officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Following the burial all are invited to a reception at Seventh Day Adventist Church Fellowship Hall, 1897 Trogdon Hill Rd., Asheboro. Born April 13, 1923 in Randolph County, Tanny was the daughter of the late Mary Etta and Gurney L. Frye. She was an active member of the Asheboro Seventh Day Adventist Church as long as her health permitted it and a lifetime resident of Asheboro. Tanny retired from Union Carbide after 38 years of service. She worked as a volunteer at Randolph Hospital as a Pink Lady and was a caregiver to her mother and aunts. She was mother and grandmother to a wide world of children, supporting many orphanages. She was a caretaker for her mother and aunts Tanny loved people and she lived her life in service to those who needed her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Seabolt; brothers, Earnest, Leon, Elko, Bobby, David, J.T. and Jim Frye; and her sister, Grace Bogg. She is survived by her son, Richard Seabolt (Betty) of Asheboro; grandchildren, Richard K. Seabolt (Denia), Kenny D. Seabolt (Molly), all of Asheboro, Tonya G. Todd (Jeff) of Thomasville, Brenda Grasjo of Kernersville; great-grandchildren, Jacob Seabolt, Joshua Seabolt, Summer Seabolt, Kelli Todd, Aaron Seabolt, Nathan Seabolt, Noah Seabolt, Justin Medinger, Ben Medinger, Emma Oxton, Coline Oxton, Leif Grasjo, Lena Grasjo; and great-great-granddaughter Nova Sabot. She is also survived by her sister, Virginia Bumgarner of Asheboro; brothers, Charles Buster Frye (Linney) of Randleman and C.A. Frye of Hickory. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
