Frances Walker Hunt

Mrs. Frances Louise Walker Hunt, 86, of Asheboro, NC, went home to be with her Lord our savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, August 1, 2013, at The Randolph Hospice House. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Sunday, August 4, 2013, at Mt. View Independent Methodist Church, where she was a member, with Rev. David Hunt officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Independent Methodist Church in Asheboro. A native of Athens, TN, Mrs. Hunt was born August 15, 1926. She was the daughter of the late Horace Lee Walker and Nellie Almeta Lacy Walker. She enjoyed singing and was an excellent cook who deeply loved her family. She was a very special mama and grandma. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll "Bim" Hunt, and her brothers, Bobby Walker and Horace Lee Walker. Mrs. Hunt is survived by her daughters, Brenda Thomas and husband, Paul, of Biscoe, NC, Ruth Brady and husband, Roger, of Sophia, NC, Gail Bailey and husband, Darrell, Lucy Lucas and husband, Bobby, all of Asheboro, NC; sons, Sammy Hunt and wife, Janet, Clifford Hunt and wife, Virginia, David Hunt and wife, Kathy, all of Asheboro, NC; special nieces, Carolyn Neely, Elizabeth Hayes; special nephew, Kenneth Walker; 10 Grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Saturday, August 3, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of Gail and Darrell Bailey.
