Frances W. Cox

Mrs. Frances Gray Williams Cox, 76, of Asheboro, NC, died Friday, April 18, 2014, at The Randolph Hospice House. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Hayden, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Asheboro. A native of Rockingham County, NC, Mrs. Cox was born November 1, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Charlie David Williams and Mary Elizabeth Martin Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Gilbert Cox, daughter, Susan Jenkins and grandchild, Stephanie Cox. Mrs. Cox is survived by daughters, Shelby Hayden-Clifton, of Asheboro, NC, Mary Cox, and husband, Steve of Asheboro, NC; sons, Wayne Hayden, Leon Hayden, both of Asheboro, NC, Rev. Michael Hayden, Sr. and wife, Sue, of Fallston, MD; grandchildren, Marcus Hayden, Brandon Hayden, Chad Cox, Amanda Hayden, Reesa Hoover, Jamie Hayden, Olivia Hayden, Andrew Hayden, Timmy Hayden, Michael Hayden, Jr., Billy Hayden, Kevin Smith, Misty Kidd; great grandchildren, Zeb Hayden, Zayne Hayden, Lindsey Hayden, Chloe Hoover, Claira Hoover, Bella Hayden, Colton Hayden, Tristian Smith, Corvin Smith, Dakota Kidd, Hayley Kidd, Lelue Kidd; brother, James Williams, of Kernsville, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Monday, April 21, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home.
