Floetta Wood Parks

Mrs. Floetta Wood Parks, 74, of Asheboro, NC, died Monday, May 27, 2013, at Randolph Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Monty Barker officiating. Entombment will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Parks was born July 21, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Vernon and Edna Wood. She attended Word of Faith Ministries and was retired from Wachovia National Bank. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Parks was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Parks, her brother, Stafford Wood, and her niece, Michelle Wood. Mrs. Parks is survived by her brother, Argie Wood, of New London, NC; nieces, Christy Zedrick and husband, Carl, of New London, NC, Alisa McDowell and husband, Danny, of Thomasville, NC; great nephews, Eric Moran, Aaron Moran, both of Asheboro, NC, Drew Glenn, of Randleman; great niece, Katie Kearns, of Asheboro. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Friday, May 31, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home, and other times at the home of her sister-in-law, Doris Hughes.
