Fayedean Isom

Mrs. Mary Fayedean Jarrell Isom, 75, of formerly of Winslow Avenue, Asheboro, NC, died Thursday, January 13, 2011, at Randolph Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, January 15, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Barnes officiating. Burial will follow at Smyrna Grove Community Church Cemetery. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Isom was born December 28, 1935. She was the daughter of the late Henry Clarence Jarrell and Pearlie Mae Murphy Jarrell. She had worked at B.B. Walker Shoe Co., Commonwealth Hosiery and the Apple House Cafeteria. She enjoyed planting flowers and enjoyed daily walks. Above all, Faye enjoyed spending time with her family. Fayedean had only one granddaughter, whom she took the best care of and was practically a second mom. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Isom was preceded in death by her sons, Billy Joe Isom and Roy Lee Isom, and her brother, Michael Rollins. Mrs. Isom is survived by her husband, Fred Isom, of Asheboro, NC; son, Darrell L. Isom, of Randleman, NC; sisters, Norma Jean Garner, of Denton, NC, Becky Sue Hughes, Ophelia E. Gasey, both of Asheboro, NC; brothers, Cecil Jarrell, of High Point, NC, Donald Jarrell, of Asheboro, NC; granddaughter, Tabatha Beth Isom, of Randleman, NC, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm Saturday, January 15, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
