Faye Luther

Faye Jarrell Luther, 93, of Asheboro, died Thursday, October 8, 2026, at her home.

A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 23, 2026, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerald Hussey officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park.

Faye was born on April 8, 1933, in Asheboro to the late Frank D. Jarrell and Ida Sheffield Jarrell. She attended Central Falls School before continuing her education at Asheboro Business College. Faye worked many years in hosiery manufacturing and retired from Technimark.

She was preceded in death by her husband James "Jimmy" Harlan Luther; daughter, Susan Green; brothers, Calvin Spencer Jarrell, Lester Jarrell, Max Jarrell, Tanford "Buddy" Jarrell, Coy Jarrell; and sister, Dixie Way.

She is survived by her sons, Bruce McMasters and wife Lisa of Ramseur, Timmy Hasty and wife Gayle of Asheboro, Tony Hasty of Asheboro; grandchildren, Wayne McMasters and wife Dawn, Caitlyn Hasty, Tyler Hasty and wife Alisha, Natalie Hoogkamp and husband Brett; six great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m., prior to the service.

To honor her memory, the family kindly asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Falls Baptist Church, 1332 Old Liberty Road, Asheboro, NC 27205, where she attended.
