Faye N. Johnson

Faye Elizabeth Nifong Johnson, 75, of Asheboro, NC, died Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 9, 2018, at Sawyersville Wesleyan Church with Rev. Darrell Rabon, Rev. Mark Beane, and Rev. Jonathan Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Born October 17, 1942, in Forsyth Co, NC, Mrs. Johnson was the daughter of the late Fred and Maude McDaniel Nifong. She graduated high school from Southern Pilgrim College and later graduating from the Randolph Community College LPN and RN programs. She was a church pianist for 45 years and was a faithful member of Central Wesleyan Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and was adored by all of her family. She loved her roses and geraniums. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her brother, Andrew Nifong. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Rev. Larry K. Johnson, Sr.; sons, Kendall Johnson and friend, Wanda Ashworth, Mark Johnson and wife, Andi, Michael Johnson and wife, Amy; brother, Danny Nifong and wife, Nancy; grandchildren, Crystal Johnson, Amber Johnson, Tyler Johnson, Stephen Johnson, Ava Johnson, Samuel Johnson, Elizabeth Johnson, Abigail Johnson; nieces, Danya Nifong and Lystra Kale. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Saturday, September 8, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home, and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
