Faydean Macon

Faydean Greynell Strider Macon, 86, of Seagrove, died Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at Victory Baptist Church, with Dr. Charles Fleshman and Rev. Johnny Henderson officiating. Burial will follow at Center Cross Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the interment in the fellowship hall at Center Cross Baptist Church. Born in Randolph County, NC, on January 27, 1930, Mrs. Macon was the daughter of the late William Shelton Strider and Cora Rose Strider. She was retired from Cranford & Macon Furniture. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Macon was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Arden Macon; sisters, Effie Strider Cole, Fairy Strider Williams, Merle Strider King; brothers, David Strider, Buren Strider, and Raymond Strider. Surviving are her son, Frank Macon and wife, Phyllis, of Seagrove; sister, Gretchen Strider Hancock, of Asheboro; brothers, Sherill Strider and wife, Dee, of Burlington, VT, Leverette Strider and wife, Brenda, of Asheboro; grandchildren, Keith Macon of Greensboro, Patrick Macon and wife, Adrienne, of Asheboro; great-grandchildren, Sophie Macon, Gracie-Faith Macon, Chloe Macon, Carter Macon and Sawyer Macon.
