Evin J. King

Mr. Evin Jason King, 79, of Asheboro, NC, died Thursday, December 30, 2010, at his home. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Sunday, January 2, 2011, at Asbury Baptist Church with the Rev. George Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. King was born December 14, 1931. He was the son of the late Bascome King and Villa B. Cole King. He was a retired self employed heating & air conditioning service technician and owner of King's Pottery. Mr. King is survived by his son, Bobby Ray King and wife, Teresa, of Hampstead; daughter, Cynthia King Craft and husband, Roy, of Asheboro; grandchildren, Bobbie Chriscoe, of Seagrove, Maria Hall, of Asheboro; brothers, Grady King, of Seagrove, Leonard King, of Carolina Beach, Reece King, of Seagrove, Don King, of Seagrove, Michael King, of Carolina Beach; sisters, Gatha Bym, of Seagrove, Doris Stevens, of Seagrove, Molly Reeder, of Seagrove, Ida Auman, of Seagrove. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Saturday, January 1, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorial may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
