Evelyn E. Lassiter

Mrs. Evelyn Grace Edwards Lassiter, 77, of Asheboro, NC, died Friday, January 14, 2011, at the home of her daughter. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Sunday, January 16, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Moses officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Richmond County, NC, Mrs. Lassiter was born March 28, 1933. She was the daughter of the late Cleveland Hicks Edwards, Sr., and Cora Estelle Mincey Edwards. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Lassiter, and her sister, Ann Jones. Mrs. Lassiter is survived by her daughter, Gracie Bryant and husband, Jackie, of Asheboro, NC; son, Dennis Lassiter and wife, Tina, David Lassiter, all of Asheboro, NC; brother, Paul Edwards and wife, Mary, of Albemarle, NC; grandchildren, Mattie Lassiter, Danelle Lassiter, Brittany Lassiter, Celine Lassiter, Valerie Bryant, Chris Bryant, Jeff Bryant, Justin Lassiter ; great grandchildren, Savannah Gibson, Scott Shoe, Natalie Bryant, Nickolas Bryant and Keegan Owens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm Sunday, January 16, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, 426 Back Creek Terrace, Asheboro, NC.
