Evelyn Miller Earnhardt

Mrs. Evelyn Louise Miller Earnhardt, 90, of Asheboro, NC, went home to meet Jesus on Monday, January 20, 2014, at The Randolph Hospice House. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, January 23, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Garner officiating. Entombment will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Earnhardt was born May 9, 1923. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Cora Hicks Miller. She was a homemaker who enjoyed working in her garden and her pretty flowers. She was a loving mother, raising six children. After the passing of our daddy, mother became acquainted with her little dog, "Mollie", who became her best friend. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Earnhardt was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Lawrence Earnhardt, her son, Bobby Gene Earnhardt, her brother, Wilber Fuller, and her sisters, Lillian Westmorland and Ola Draughn. Mrs. Earnhardt is survived by three daughters, Linda Earnhardt Gregory, of Sophia, Melissa Earnhardt Kearns, Carolyn Earnhardt Lamar, both of Asheboro; two sons, Darrel Earnhardt, of Denton, NC, Larry Earnhardt, of Archdale, NC; 14 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; two sisters, Barbara Allred, Estelle Hinesley, both of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Thursday, January 23, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
