Eva Boone Stevenson

Mrs. Eva Katie Boone Stevenson, 92, formerly of Jones Street, Asheboro, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at Clapp's Nursing Center, Pleasant Garden, NC. A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Saturday, August 20, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Jarrell officiating. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Stevenson was born June 28, 1919. She was the daughter of the late Roby Boone and Katie Harper Boone. She retired from Burlington Industries after 30 years of service and then gave 25 years of service to the Randolph County Senior Adults Center. She was a member of Forest Park Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stevenson was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her brothers, Wade, Willie, Clarence, Paul, Joseph, and Lee, and her sister, Daphne. Mrs. Stevenson is survived by her daughter, Frances Beal Richardson, of Sophia, NC; sister, Opal Berryman, of Rockingham, NC; brother, Phillip Boone, of Raleigh, NC, grandchildren, Karen Nash and husband, Larry, Steven Wood and wife, Qua, Terry Wood and Debbie, Rocky Beal and Connie; great grandchildren, Tabitha Auman and husband, Steve, Travis Kennedy, Dennis Nash, Brandon Wood, Adam Wood, T. J. Wood and wife, Elizabeth, Timber Wood, Tyler Robinson, Tiffany Robinson; great-great grandchildren, Amber Auman, Nick Auman, Chris Auman, Matthew Kennedy. The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home following the service and other times at the home of Steve and Qua Wood, 1016 Redwood Drive, Asheboro, NC.
