Eula Smith Givian

Eula was born July 3, 1939 in Stewartsville, Scotland County, North Carolina to the late Alexander Smith and Ruth M. Smith Davis. She departed this life on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Randolph County Hospital in Asheboro, NC. Her life was characterized by her great love and devotion to family and friends. Eula was such a joy to be around. She loved to entertain. During the summer she would have pig pickings and barbeques. People from near and far were always welcome. Eula enjoyed fishing, cooking, playing cards, and taking long drives with the love of her life, Tee. She looked forward to visiting and spending quality time with her mother. Eula held a variety of jobs to include but not limited to: Pentagon, Washington, DC., Technimark Plant and as a Home Healthcare Provider in Asheboro, NC. Precious memories are cherished by: James Thomas (Tee) Hamer of Randleman, NC; Ruth Fishburne of Oxon Hill, MD; Russell Waye (Wilbur) of Laurel Hill, NC; Katherine Smith (Curtis); Shirley Smith; Luther Smith; and Brenda Smith, all of Laurinburg, NC; Chip Smith (deceased); James E. Brown (deceased); Tim McLean (Charlene) of Winston-Salem, NC; Carmen Hicks and Betty Armstrong both of Laurinburg, NC. Nephews, Frank Fishburne and Dontae Brown (Chanel) and Nieces, Tamika Fishburne and Kim Smith. A great niece, London Brown and three great nephews: Kalcyn, Taveon, and Dwayne McKoy. A host of cousins and friends who will remember her fondly. A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Monday, March 31, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home with Elder Corrine Zeigler officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm Monday, March 31, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home.
