Eugene Presnell

Mr. David Eugene Presnell, 69, of 507 Peachtree Street, died Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at Randolph Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, October 22, 2010, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lee Carter and Rev. Gilbert Presnell officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain of Faith Christian Church Cemetery in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Presnell was born January 26, 1941. He was the son of the late Robert Lane Nixon Presnell and Etta Mae Saunders Presnell. He was retired from B. B. Walker Shoe Company after 42 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Mr. Presnell is survived by his wife of 42 years, Ellen S. Presnell, of the home; sons, Tony Presnell and wife, Karen, Randy Presnell and wife, Michelle, all of Asheboro; sister, Nancy Hancock and husband, Jerry, of Randleman; brother, Gilbert Presnell and wife, Shirley, of Asheboro; grandchildren, Hannah Duke and husband, Zack, Jennifer Presnell, Josh Presnell, Logan Presnell, Nick Presnell; step-grandchild, Daniel Schadt; great grandchildren, Keegan Duke, Emily Presnell, and special thanks to a special sister-in-law, Carolyn Cox, of Sophia. The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm Thursday, October 21, 2010, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
