Colon Eugene "Bluegene" Graves, 74, of Asheboro, died Friday, October 6, 2023, at his home.
Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 13, 2023, at Big Oak Church of God, Star, with Pastor Darrell Wright and Rev. Tommy Brown officiating.
Born in Randolph County, NC, on April 12, 1949, Eugene was the son of the late Colon Allen Graves and Hazel Beane Graves. He worked as a self employed trucker and grader and later retired from Thompson Arthur. He was a member of the Archdale Senior Golf Association. Eugene loved golf and hunting.
In addition to his parents, Eugene was preceded in death by his infant brothers, Harvey Lee Graves and Billy Ray Graves.
Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Becky Graves; daughter, Angela G. Roy; sons, Kevin Auman, Nathan Auman (Julie), Taylor Eugene Graves; half brother, Ronnie Sanders; brother-in-law, Leonard Thomas (Melessa); grandchildren, Audee Auman, Ree-Anna Auman, Daylin Auman, Thomas Auman; great grandchildren, Raylee Graves and Cayrinna Graves.
The family will receive friends from 12:45 -1:45 p.m., Friday, prior to the service at Big Oak Church of God.
