Esther L. Jernigan

Ms. Esther Louise Jernigan, 86, of Ramseur, NC, died Thursday, February 21, 2013, at her residence. A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Sunday, February 24, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marvin Jernigan officiating. Burial will held at 1:00 pm Monday, February 25, 2013, at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Robeson County, NC, Ms. Jernigan was born May 24, 1926. She was the daughter of the late Julius Hilton Jernigan and Nora Elizabeth Davis Jernigan. She attended Pentecostal Holiness Church and was retired from Klopman Mills. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Bryant, Jr., and her brother, Alton Jernigan. Ms. Jernigan is survived by daughter, Willodean Brown, of Ramseur, NC; sisters, Edith Smith, Lois Hopper, both of Asheboro, NC; brothers, Julius C. Jernigan, of Darlington, SC, Edward Jernigan, of Ramseur, NC, Rev. Marvin C. Jernigan, of Marion, NC; two grandchildren, three great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, seven nieces, four nephews, five great nieces and six great nephews. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm Sunday, February 24, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
